We're keeping up our plan to expand our territory and the Third Grade Nation with more trips out of town. This month: we head to San Francisco, and a return to Sacramento where the audiences have been amazing and full of love for 3GT. Here's one example of why we like playing there so much: our friend Paul draws great posters, like this one for our upcoming show!
Sacto. is also home to our pals Red Tape, who toured LA and got the stage good & blistering-hot for us at Mr. T's Bowl this month...and to our fan and friend Larry (surely to conquer the world one day with RawXhaust) who writes us the coolest e-mails. (He said it's OK to post 'em here, too, so here ya go!)
hey! you guys rocked sacramento. it was kinda funny. my buddy was like, "man, i thought you were exaggerating or something, but they were so fucking bad." see, you guys were different. my friend explained it to me like this. you guys have such an original and natural sound. i mean it's ear grabbing. and your get ups speak for themselves. when the other bands that played that night came on it was like someone turned the jukebox on. ya know, a sound we've all heard before. greenday with some foul language and a little more distorted guitars. i mean everybody who played was good at what they do, but you guys were more original, more intense, more caught up in your gig. i like that. there were times when you guys were playing and you guys were just rocking so hard and so into your music that it didn't matter if anyone was watching or not. kinda like the old saying, "dance like no ones watching, and sing like no ones listening" just enjoy yourself. have fun. rock n roll. third grade nation, uh huh, uh huh, uh huh uh huh uh huh uh huh. stay real!
